About the Role

Our client is a dynamic accountancy practice and are looking to add a junior bookkeeper to their team. You will be assisting with keeping client accounts up to date and ensuring that monthly deadlines are met. The role would suit somebody who is business minded, has an eye for detail, is process driven, enjoys variety and likes learning and using online apps and new systems. You will be required to write and talk to clients and chase debts, thus excellent communication and language skills are a must. Bookkeeping and Xero experience is a preference for this role as you will need to hit the ground running.

Duties include:
Client bookkeeping using Xero and including:
• Bank account reconciliation
• Entering sales and purchase invoices
• Credit control • Keeping sales and purchase ledgers tidy
• VAT returns • Assisting with reporting and KPI tracking as necessary
• Liaising with clients, chasing missing items, answering queries and Xero support
• Office administration
• Answering telephone calls

Requirements

This role requires:

- Excellent English communication skills - oral and written

- Ability to work as part of a team and independently

- Ability to prioritise and schedule own work

- ICB/AAT qualified (minimum Level 2 certificate)

- Ability to work quickly and accurately

- An eye for detail - An ability to work to deadlines

- Good computer skills (especially with Excel, MSF Office, Google Docs, and online apps)
